Project Description
This project was born from a bold idea: to use the world’s most transited item—the shipping container—as a foundation for off-grid innovation.
My goal was to reimagine the standard intermodal container as a modular platform for powering remote health and community centers, as well as container-based hydroponic farms. I developed a solar racking system that attaches directly to the container’s corner castings, allowing solar panels to mount securely without altering the container’s structure or transportability.
The system enables containers to self-generate power while remaining fully compatible with global shipping infrastructure. By combining modularity, clean energy, and smart design, this project unlocks new possibilities for deploying sustainable infrastructure anywhere in the world.
